Cleaning a bounce house
Bounce Houses can be breeding grounds for bacteria. Whether you are renting a bouncer, own your bounce house, or have an inflatable rental company, make sure the unit is kept sanitized and cleaned. If you are renting, you are depending on the rental company to take the necessary steps to insure the rental equipment is sanitized and clean. If you own your bounce house for either personal use or as a business, below you will find the steps we use when cleaning our inflatables.
Step 1
Inflate the bounce house. Once inflated, enter and remove any loose debris. After any debris is picked up we sweep out the unit, including the pillars and netting.
Step 2
Once the inflatable is free of debris and dirt, we begin the sanitizing process. We were turned on to a product many schools use to clean their gymnastic and wrestling mats. It is call Matt-Kleen and can be purchased in concentration by the gallon for around $55. This is very powerful and can be diluted to make around 60 gallons. Once we mix our formula we spray down the bounce house inside and out, pillars and bounce floor. Simply wipe clean with a dry rag.
